The Six-Key Model for Assessment and Intervention in Dramatherapy

Masterclass by Susana Pendzik

The Six-Key model is a dramatherapy-based integrative assessment method that can be applied in clinical practice as well as in research. This qualitative method is founded in the notion of dramatic reality, and furnishes us with six parameters for observation, providing practitioners with a useful tool to survey group and individual processes, assess progress, make effective interventions, and organize the material in a way that furthers drama therapy thinking. Based on the subjective observation by the dramatherapist, the model is "users friendly," helping dramatherapists to navigate complex therapeutic processes by signaling at specific keys where therapeutic interventions would be most effective.

This masterclass comprises a theoretical presentation, also featuring a short film based on a true case, showing a dramatized and compacted individual session, in which the Six-Key Model is being applied by a dramatherapist.
