Mathieu Van der Straeten is working in a dramatherapist in a psychiatric institution in Zelzate, Belgium. Over there, he has been working with multiple population, often in combination with a substance abuse. He is teaching dramatherapy at Artevelde university of applied sciences,Ghent and has an own practice. At those places, he has been practicing Developmetal Transformations for several years. He is the former president of the Belgian association of Arts therapy (BVCT-ABAT) and Vice-president of the Belgian department of Dramatherapy. He is currently leading the Belgian DvT institute.
